NAN OC CHRISTMAS BASKETS FOR SOLO SENIORS 2021
About 1 in 5 elderly people don’t have supportive family members nearby, according to a recent analysis conducted by AARP. These elderly are sometimes referred to as “Solo Seniors”, Solo Agers” OR “Elder Orphans”. In some instances, the Solo Senior may no longer be able to easily walk or drive, and can experience difficulty with basic activities (e.g., shopping, cooking, cleaning) and will also spend their Holidays alone. In 2021, thanks to your generous donations, National Action Network Orange County was able to deliver 30 baskets to Solo Seniors at St. Frances, ManorCare Health, Grandma’s House of Hope, Park View Assisted Living & Memory Care, New Spirit Church and a few individuals from
the community. This video captures a few of those moments. The look of joy and surprise on the faces of our Solo Seniors, a few of them even cried, was priceless and confirmed that we were on the right path! The baskets were beautifully done and each contained a Holiday card with the recipient’s name handwritten! This year, due to overwhelming demand, we aim to triple that amount and will deliver 115 Holiday baskets to Solo Seniors throughout the Orange County area. If you would like to donate one hour of your time and help us make these Baskets on 12/16/22 3p-10p, EMAIL nanoc2021@gmail.com. If you would like to donate: Cash App: $NANOC2021
OR Using Zelle: send to (949) 687-9867 OR nanoc2021@gmail.com
Your contribution will help support the cost of each basket as well as future efforts for Solo Seniors in the Orange County community. Whether its $5, $10, $25 OR MORE, WE THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT!
